 Morpheus 8 FAQs

  • Morpheus 8 is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy to remodel collagen, tighten skin, and improve texture at a deeper level than traditional microneedling.

  • It can improve fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture, stretch marks, and mild fat remodeling (such as under the chin or small, troublesome fat pockets).

  • Tiny micro-pins create controlled micro-injuries while RF energy heats the deeper layers of the skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production and tightens underlying tissue (fibroseptal network or FSN) for smoother, firmer skin.

  • Most commonly: face, neck, jawline, under-eyes, abdomen, thighs, arms, and above the knees. Almost any area that needs to be tightened or needs texture improvement can be treated.

  • A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to keep you comfortable. You may also be prescribed oral medications if you feel the need. If you opt to take oral medications, you will need a ride for your appointment. Many patients describe the treatment as a prickling or pressure sensation. Facial treatments are typically less sensitive than body treatments. If an area remains sensitive after preventative measures, the treatment can be adjusted to meet your tolerance level.

  • While results can be seen after just one session, most people see best results with 3 sessions, spaced about 3-6 weeks apart. Exact recommendations depend on your goals.

  • When treating the face and neck, expect 1-3 days of redness and swelling, similar to a mild sunburn. Makeup can usually be worn after 24 hours.

Body treatments can take longer to heal. Redness and swelling is typically resolved by day 7-10 but can last longer. Contact your provider with any concerns.

  • You will be sent our complete before and after care instructions after your initial consult. However, here area few things to keep in mind before your treatment:

-No Botox in the area of treatment 2 wks prior to treatment.

-Wait 6 months before treatment if superficial filler is done in the area of treatment and after stopping Accutane.

-If you have a history of Herpes Simplex, let me know. You may need to be prophylactically prescribed anti-viral medication before and after treatment.

-Stop anticoagulants 7-10 days prior to treatment to prevent bruising.

-Avoid treatments that may irritate the skin 1-2 weeks prior to treatment (i.e. waxing, chemical peels, etc.)

-Shave the area 24-48 hours prior to treatment (no more than 48 hrs).

-Avoid tanning or self-tanners for at least 24-48 hrs before treatment.

-Hydrate well the day before, day of and after your treatment. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

-Do not wear make-up, perfume, powders, etc. the day of your treatment. The area should be clean.

-Apply prescription lidocaine/tetracaine to the area 45-60 min before the appt.

-If you would like oral pain medication or anti-anxiety medication for the procedure, you will need a ride. This decision is based on your pain tolerance. Many people are able to complete the treatment without oral medications. However, if you know you have a low pain tolerance, topical numbing agents may not be enough for you. Please visit with me about any concerns regarding pain before your scheduled appointment day so we can discuss options. You may also consider bringing something to distract yourself (i.e. stress ball, music, book on tape, etc).

  • You may notice an improvement as soon as a few days, with full collagen remodeling developing over 3-12 weeks. Results continue to improve over time.

  • Results are long lasting because your skin produces new collagen. Most clients schedule an annual maintenance treatment to keep results fresh.

Some factors that may negatively affect your results are poor nutrition, poor hydration, smoking, and exposure to the elements.

  • Yes. Unlike many laser treatments, Morpheus8 is safe for all skin tones, including darker complexions.

  • Those who are pregnant, nursing, have active skin infections, or have certain medical conditions may need to wait or consult their provider. Those with dark skin and those who tend to form keloid scars may develop scars after treatment and should be cautious about areas they choose to treat. Notify the provider of any concerns.

  • -Mild to significant bruising may occur and is typically most noticeable 24-48 hrs after treatment.

-Bruising typically resolves within 5-10 days. You may use Arnica suplements.

-Redness and swelling will likely be noted. Minor pinpoint bleeding may be noted.

-Avoid anti-inflammatory medications and steroids for 1 week after.

-Cooling the skin can help reduce discomfort, itching, and excessive skin response. You may apply healing ointments (i.e. Aquaphor or Vaseline) or antibiotic ointment immediately after for 1-3 days. Wash hand thoroughly before applying ointment and avoid touching the area for 48 hrs to avoid infection.

-Avoid exercise or strenuous activity that promotes sweating as it can contribute to increased bacteria.

-As soon as the needle holes close (1-3 days), apply moisturizer and sunscreen SPF 30 or higher.

-Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 14 days after treatment to avoid scarring, uneven skin pigmentation and sunburn.

-Do not use retinol, vitamin C treatments, glycolic acid for 5-7 days after treatment.

-You may see an acne flare 1-2 days after treatment.

-“Chicken Skin” or “Gridmarks” may be present for 1-4 weeks after treatment as the areas around the microneedling become swollen. Length of healing time depends on the individual. Skin may crust and peel depending on the person and the treatment settings. Do not pick at the skin or scratch as it can cause scarring and hyperpigmentation.

-The number of treatments required depends on the energies we are able to use. Typically, high energy treatments require 1-3 sessions every 3-6 weeks. Lower energy treatments require 2-4 sessions every 3-6 weeks. Maintenance sessions are recommended anywhere between six months to two yrs depending on the individual. Most people prefer a maintenance session approx. every one year. Some factors that may influence this include age, hydration/nutritional status, outside activity, sun exposure, and smoking.

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

  • Dioloze is an advanced diode laser hair removal system by InMode that delivers fast, powerful, and comfortable treatments while targeting the hair follicles for long-term reduction.

  • The laser emits a precise wavelength of energy that targets the root of the hair follicle, heating it until it can no longer grow hair. Over time, this leads to smoother, hair free skin.

  • DiolazeXL has one of the largest treatment spot sizes, allowing faster sessions. It also has a built-in cooling system that makes treatments more comfortable than many other lasers.

  • Common areas include: underarms, legs, bikini/brazilian, face, chin, neck, arms, chest, back, stomach and more.

  • Most clients find it very tolerable. The cooling tip keeps the skin comfortable, reducing the heat sensation that lasers typically create. Lidocaine cream can also be applied beforehand for sensitive areas such as bikini/Brazilian.

  • Laser hair removal works in stages of the hair growth cycle. Most clients benefit from 6-8 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, depending on the area and hair type.

  • No downtime! You might notice mild redness or slight sensitivity for a few hours after treatment, similar to a light sunburn. Avoid sun exposure and irritating topical agents for 2 weeks.

  • Hair will start to slough off within a few days and you may enjoy a few weeks of very reduced hair. When a new hair growth cycle begins you will notice more hair and should schedule your next appointment. Approximately 20% of hair is removed with each session with 80-90% reduction after the series and reports of up to 95% removal!

  • You can shave, but you should avoid waxing, plucking, or threading, as those remove the follicle that the laser needs to target.

  • Shave the area 12-24 hours beforehand, avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for at least one week (preferably 2 wks), and stop using retinol or exfoliating acids on the treated area 2-3 days before. Tanning darkens the skin, making it more difficult for the laser to target the follicles. Tanning and irritating creams can also make the skin more sensitive.

  • Results are long lasting. Most clients enjoy permanent hair reduction and may want occasional maintenance sessions once or twice a year. Changes in hormones can increase hair production.

  • People who are pregnant, have active infections, are on certain medications (like photosensitizers such as hydroxy acids, salicylic acid, retinols, and benzoyl peroxide), or have extremely light hair or dark skin may not be ideal candidates.

 IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) FAQs

  • IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive skin treatment that uses multiple wavelengths of light to target pigment, redness, broken capillaries, and sun damage, helping to even out skin tone and improve overall clarity.

  • -Brown spots/sunspots

    -Redness and rosacea

    -Broken capillaries

    -Freckles

    -Uneven skin tone

    -Dullness

    -Vascular lesions

    -some acne concerns

    -some fine lies and wrinkles

  • Light pulses penetrate the skin and are absorbed by pigment and blood vessels. This causes them to break down and fade naturally, revealing a clearer, more radiant complexion.

  • Most commonly: face, neck, chest, shoulders, arms, legs, and hands—basically any sun-exposed area.

  • Clients describe the sensation as a quick snap, like a rubber band, with heat. It’s generally very tolerable, and cooling gel is used to increase comfort.

  • Many people see a difference with just one treatment, however, it is most common for clients to do a package of three treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart, depending on skin concerns and severity.

  • Treated pigment may darken and look like “coffee grounds” for 3-7 days before flaking off. Mild redness or warmth may last a few hours. Makeup can be applied immediately after if the skin is intact.

  • Improvements can appear in 1-2 weeks, with clearer, more even skin after each session. Results continue to build after multiple treatments.

  • IPL is safest and most effective on light to medium skin tones. Darker skin types may not be ideal candidates due to the risk of pigmentation changes.

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for 2-4 weeks. Pause retinol or exfoliating acids for 3-5 days before treatment.

  • Yes! IPL pairs great with Morpheus8 and forma for enhanced results.

  • Results can be long lasting with good sun protection. Many clients choose maintenance sessions 1-2 times a year.

  • Those who are pregnant, on photosensitizing medications, recently tanned, have active infections, or have certain skin conditions may need to delay treatment.

 Evolve Body Contouring FAQs

  • Evolve is a hands-free, non-invasive body contouring platform by InMode that can tighten skin, reduce fat, and tone muscles using advanced radiofrequency and electrical muscle stimulation technology.

  • Common areas include the abdomen, flanks, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, arms, and back. Multiple areas can sometimes be treated in a single session.

  • Evolve Tite uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat the deeper layers of the tissue, stimulating collagen production for firmer, tighter skin. Evolve Tone uses electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), to contract muscles, helping to build, sculpt, and strengthen target areas and burn fat. Evolve tite and tone can be combined in the same treatment.

  • Most clients describe it as a warm and comfortable, or like a deep muscle contraction. Treatments are well tolerated with no anesthesia required.

  • Most sessions last 30-60 minutes depending on the area. Evolve is hands free, so you can relax during the treatment. Some clients even take a nap!

  • Most clients see best results with 6-8 weekly sessions.

  • No. You can return to normal activities immediately following treatments. The area may remain red for a couple of hours after treatment.

  • Some clients notice improvements after a few sessions, with full results typically visible after 6-12 weeks, as collagen builds and the body processes fat.

  • Yes. Evolve is safe for all skin tones and types since it uses radiofrequency and EMS—not lasers.

  • Results are long lasting when maintained with a healthy lifestyle. Many clients choose occasional maintenance sessions to enhance and prolong outcomes.

  • Evolve is ideal for individuals wanting non-surgical fat reduction, skin tightening, and muscle toning and are near their ideal body weight but want more definition.

  • Those who are pregnant, have metal implants in the treatment area, have uncontrolled medical conditions, or have active skin issues.
